Joe Bourget started his own show, Bourget Amusements, fifteen years ago after
spending many years as an independent ride operator.
Bourget Fields a combination of 15 major and kiddie rides along with 3 - 5
food concessions and 7 – 10 games. Trucks, rides, and all equipment look in
top-notch condition. Everything is attractively painted and trucks and trailers
are decorated with colorful pictorials.
Joe started his own show in 1988 with only a swinger ride, fun house and a
few concessions. Church bazaars and other small dates were booked that first
season. Each year since, more equipment has been added, and Bourget Amusements
is now kept busy playing good-size festivals and celebrations in Massachusetts,
New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine. Bourget’s season starts the second week of
April and runs until early October.
Joe Bourget’s midway will continue to grow and do well in this part of the
country. Joe is very personable and under his guidance, Bourget Amusements
should become an institution in northern New England.
